So I had a message today that reinforced everything I think about the “specialty” that is psychiatry.
Someone got in touch and basically told me that they had healed their bipolar disorder or schizophrenia (they mentioned both in the message, so I assume they had seen at least 2 psychiatrists!) around a decade ago by changing their diet and getting their minerals balanced. They had a handful of other physical health problems at the time and decided to go down the rabbit-hole of self-healing, thinking about what the underlying causes could be.
What does this tell us? That pharmaceuticals aren’t necessary. And yet my entire training was based on genetics and drugs. Every psychiatrist I know worships at the altar of Big Pharma. And the medical regulator will severely punish any psychiatrist who doesn’t prescribe according to the “protocols.”
Considering that at least half of all published research is now corrupted by corporate interests, what does this tell you about psychiatrists and their training? It’s nothing but indoctrination and a cult – shaping people to blindly trust authority and to not question anything. Sadly the NHS is in very deep when it comes to this.
I don’t know about you, but after the last 4 years I have absolutely no trust in doctors. I wouldn’t go near one unless I was in desperate need, such as after a car accident or some other kind of acute trauma. And yet here I am being one. Ashamed and embarrassed is all I can feel when anyone associates me with the NHS.
Thanks for listening!
You are not alone in your thinking. There is an incredibly well written and researched book called "Cracked: The Unhappy Truth About Psychiatry" by James Davies. I found it one of the most shocking and horrifying books I have ever read, but backs up and reinforces everything you have said.
we need doctors that are open minded and speak out so please keep doing it - I used music as therapy being a musician after years of being drugged up and abused in the UK mental 'health' system. https://open.substack.com/pub/callystarforth/p/the-weapon-of-psychiatry?r=1eq51l&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web
